Abstract

The title complex, [Cu(C5H10NS2)(C 15H22BN6)] or (TpMe2)Cu(S 2CNEt2), incorporating the classic TpMe2 scorpionate, is relevant to blue copper protein models and to Cu extraction from waste treatment and mine-tailing leachate. The IR and UV-Vis spectra are consistent with the crystal structure. © 2013 International Union of Crystallography.
