Perceptions of low employability and poor mental health are two significant career-related concerns that pose challenges to the reintegration of youth in juvenile justice settings. A career counselling programme was developed and implemented to address these career-related concerns, tailored specifically for youth transitioning out of a juvenile justice facility. First, a randomised pilot study assessed the feasibility of the programme within the adolescent context and its potential for further testing. Then, a nonrandomized study was conducted to evaluate the preliminary efficacy of the programme. Findings revealed a significant enhancement in youth’s perceived employability and mental health outcomes following the intervention.
