The implementation of K-12 program in the Philippines caused many issues concerning the preparedness of the country to implement it in regards to the country's resources. The ability of the people to afford the cost of the program, the facilities, the staff and equipment are some of the areas that this study will focus. This study will tell how well the program affects the people in the Philippines through analyzing the sentiments of their tweets and posts in social media as well as in online news articles. This research aimed to analyze English-Cebuano texts found in social websites and online news articles concerning on the impact of K-12 in the Philippines using Lexicon and Naïve Bayes approach with Code Switching to acquire the polarities of the texts if it is positive, negative or neutral. © 2017 Association for Computing Machinery.
