Abstract

Adaptive Network Tools Service Network Mapper is a web-based system that uses penetration testing reconnaissance method to access and extract information from remote computers. It is implemented in a network infrastructure which requires custom fitting task. The mapper uses standard protocols, scanning, and web plug-ins tools for processing and interfacing. Test output yielded a rating of 75% functionality, 96% accuracy and an efficiency of 30 computers in average scanned in less than 10 minutes. The mapper functions similarly with its market counterpart, it differs according to the method of extracting data, the application the mapper serves, and cost is free. © 2018 Association for Computing Machinery.
