This paper revisited the halfwave wire dipole and some of its arrays. The test frequency was at 299.792458 MHz with three different test diameters for the wire at 3.175, 6.35 and 9.525 mm. The halfwave dipole under test was resonant at the test frequency and at the different wire diameters. There were five array configurations tested. The first two arrays were two dipoles placed side by side. One pair is fed in parallel and the other pair is cross-fed. The last three arrays were four dipoles configured by placing a dipole at each vertex of a square with different feed connections. The separation of the nearest two dipoles was varied from 0.01041667 lambda to 0.75 lambda which involved 72 test points for each array under test. Antenna resistance and reactance at each test points were plotted and shown. Some of the unusual propagation patterns were presented. Analysis of the results were also provided. © 2022 IEEE.
