Development and Validation of an Instrument Assessing Physics Teachers' Beliefs, Competence, and Attitudes in Smartphone-Based Physics Experiments

Abstract

Much scientific research in physics education has been dedicated to using smartphone sensors in physics experiments. However, a dependable and valid instrument for evaluating physics teachers' beliefs skills, knowledge, and perspectives regarding physics experiments that employ smartphone technology has been development utilized the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK frameworks. Initially 72 developed statements were developed and were divided into comments were used to revise the instrument. The final administration was conducted in Catbalogan City Division and Samar Division with 87 teachers (N = 87) as total participants. The data gathered was used to were revised. The questionnaire shows strong internal consistency and reliability with an average Cronbach's Alpha of 0.951 across all section, There were three factors derived from the EFA.
